1.) There is absolutely NO guarentee that you will get your flowers on your wedding day! A local florist will be able to trudge through snow, or rain and whatever, whereas, a shipping company like UPS doesn't care it's your wedding... if they can't get through... you're out of luck.
2.) It is very hard to distinguish how big and of what value the flowers are that you are purchasing. Pictures are very disceptive... how do you know how big the bouquet is?? is it 10inches around, 3? 27?? You do not know what exactly you are getting for your money in that aspect.
Websites like weddingchannel.com, and theknot.com provide checklists and questions you can ask a professional florist. I would call pro-flowers and ask them all the questions you would ask a professional florist (where applicable).. flowers are expensive no matter where you get them from... make sure you do your research.
If you're looking to save money... there are many websites that professional florists use to order their flowers online. You would have to then create your own bouquets, but this can help you cut costs. Check with local florists and see if they recommend any websites, or if they will order the flowers for you at a discounted cost??

I am planning on doing it, and what I have been told is that it is wonderful if you have the time, keep it simple, and have artsy people. We are doing irises with yellow roses, so it will safe us a lot of money. Just plan on asking your bridesmaids to help out the night before/that morning with making centerpieces and bouquets. Also, make sure you practice ahead of time!

You could get someone else order by mistake. For a wedding you only have one day to make things right don't chance it. If you want discount try going to your flower district and purchasing your flowers the day before from the flower dealers and creating the bundles yourself. Or you can look in the yellow pages and call all the florist and ask about prices then get the lowest quotes and go to their showroom. You might even get to see them make a bouquet while your there. I am planning on doing it, and what I have been told is that it is wonderful if you have the time, keep it simple, and have artsy people. We are doing irises with yellow roses, so it will safe us a lot of money. Just plan on asking your bridesmaids to help out the night before/that morning with making centerpieces and bouquets. Also, make sure you practice ahead of time!

Reply:not a good idea at all. Would you order your wedding cake on-line and only see it and taste it on your wedding day? The flowers can come to you dead or wilted. You could get someone else order by mistake. For a wedding you only have one day to make things right don't chance it. If you want discount try going to your flower district and purchasing your flowers the day before from the flower dealers and creating the bundles yourself. Or you can look in the yellow pages and call all the florist and ask about prices then get the lowest quotes and go to their showroom. You might even get to see them make a bouquet while your there. It takes a bit more leg work on your part but you get a better arrangement and a small business owner instead of a large faceless corporation gets the money.

What flowers should I get for the cast of girls in the musical production that I'm in?
I am the lead in my community theater's production of "Oklahoma!" and I would like to get all of the girls in the cast a flower. I need flowers for 13 chorus girls and then I'd like to get something a little nicer like a small boquet for 4 of the girls with bigger parts. Single red roses are rather expensive..5 dollars from what I've found. I'm having trouble shopping for single flowers online and finding out my options and the pricing. and there is a contact page. I bet a researcher there would be able to provide you with that information including what you could expect to pay for it.
Reply:Fossil flowers are about as rare as chicken's teeth and I doubt that if you do find one for sale the price will be within the range of your pocket. The nearest you are likely to get are fossil leaves which are quite common in some deposits. Eurypterida are also not in great supply but another attractive alternative is a nice trilobite specimen. These are easy to obtain on-line, just do a Google search on trilobites for sale to see the choice. An ammonite which has been cut in two and polished showing the internal chambers of the shell can make a beautiful item even without the extra excitement of knowing its past. Good luck with your search, I think you have had a great idea for a gift.

It is also extremely important historically as the 1st physical connection between birds and dinosaurs. The cast is realistic you would not know it was fake without a magnifying glass. It is also a great piece of art about 2'x1' in size. I really enjoy it even though I know it is not real.
Huge shark teeth, skulls and other items are now available in resin casts. The originals are usually museum pieces so the casts are very detailed - you can even feel the serrations on the shark teeth!
I got mine from a local dealer, but do a web search or check on Ebay for resin fossil casts or similar.

The on line flower is just the same as any flower shop. They both do need a place: like an address to sent the flower to. How else is she going to get the flower. Without an physical address your best luck is to sent her e card. I think she would appreciate that. What's most important is that your thoughtfulness that counts. Best of luck.

Buy beautiful flowers you enjoy (perennials come back yearly, annuals must be either brought in to overwinter or repurchased yearly) plunk them in the dirt. MiracleGro or Root stimulator when first planted will reduce transplant shock. Water as needed. Fertilize every other week.
You'll do great. Have fun playing in the dirt.

We had to go ahead and make the bouquets and arrangements with the buds only. It still turned our beautifully and it actually gave them a unique twist. I was very happy with the results and I would do it again.

i need to identify them for my science class i just have no idea where to do it at!!
and just about all the book at the library are checked out, even the city one...there is alot of kids doing this.
