My wedding is next weekend (March 22). I have decided that I am going to order a "Wedding in a box" and me and some family/friends are going to do the bouquets. However, I need some advice.. how soon do I need to order the flowers? I have heard they should arrive a day or so before the wedding. Also, what is a great and affordable site that carries the wedding in a box deal? Your help is appreciated! Thanks
Wedding Flowers online!?
Ok, obviously people that answered you have not had the experience doing this. I DID order my wedding flowers wholesale. You need to have them sent a day or two BEFORE you plan on putting them together. So, if you wanted to arrange your flowers the day before the wedding (advised since you will be so busy anyways) you should have them sent two or three days in advance because you need to have the stems 'soak' in 5 gallon buckets for at least a day. They do not send flowers that are fully opened and 'ready to go' because then they would look awful by the time you get them. Does this make sense? You are not supposed to handle them until they have rehydrated in your buckets. I really hope I have helped you, if you have any other questions email me! Congrats!
ps sorry I cannot help you by recommending anyone. I DO NOT recommend Global Rose. They sent my flowers to Arknansas when the wedding was in California. So whoever you order from, MAKE SURE they know exactly when and where you expect them to be. Double check a hundred times if you have to, lol.
sidenote: As far as ordering them in a box, sometimes it is cheaper to order EXACTLY what you need. The wedding in the boxes include a lot of 'fillers' and not the flowers you need. I think I remember Cosco does the wedding in a box. But I would definitely shop around to get the best price.
Reply:I am using this site http://www.onlinewholesaleflowers.com for my flowers. I ordered mine last week and they say they should not get there more than 2 days before the wedding to ensure freshness. Make sure you have a place to keep them cold so they dont die to fast. They need to be kept at around 50-60 degrees.
Also if you pay by check over the phone you get 3% off your order and this place doesnt charge tax or shipping. It was the best deal i found online.
Reply:http://www.onlinewholesaleflowers.com/we... try this site they have good prices for a wedding in a box. they ship over night for 15.00 dollars for purchase over 150.00 dollars.

www.growersbox.com

www.pacificcallas.com
and they all worked out well.
Each website has specific instructions on when you can place orders and how soon before the event they should be delivered. It may be too late for some websites.

try that site. i haven't done it myself, but read some good reviews on it in a bridal book. it looks like they know what they're doing, so give them a call and at least get info from them.
Reply:Hi!
Oh...ok. You want fresh. I would still order them now. Just don't receive them until Thursday for a early Saturday wedding or Early Friday morning for a late Saturday wedding. you have to give them enough time to be conditioned if you want them to stay beautiful throughout the whole wedding.
Reply:What is in a wedding in a box? Ok thanks I would order them now because if the mail is late then you might not get them in time.
