You have some great choices for September in zone 7. If your color scheme is blue, think of asters, blue salvias (like Indigo Spires), caryopteris, the new long-blooming hydrangeas (like Endless Summer) and ageratum. You can get red/pink blooms on cleome, chrysanthemums, zinnias, impatiens, pineapple sage, cockscomb, dahlias, autumn crocus, anemone 'September Charm' or 'Bressingham Glow,' and roses. Most of these are also available in whites %26amp; ivories. And for yellow/orange shades, try zinnias, sunflowers, marigolds, chrysanthemums, and pot marigolds.

Congratulations on thinking so far ahead. Have a great gardening summer and a beautiful wedding celebration.
Reply:asters, chrysanthemums, lisianthus(eustoma), snapdragons, chelone(turtlehead), tuberose, carnations, some zinnias, some roses, echinacea, delphinium may rebloom in fall if deadheaded after first blooming. many others will continue blooming into the fall if you started them later and have kept them regularily deadheaded or cut back.ie:dahlias
